Do You Have Five Jars?

This past weekend Ps Brandon mentioned the ancient Jewish practice of the ‘Five Jar Method’ as a way to budget but even more importantly as a way to prepare ourselves to be generous. Because for many of us being generous isn’t an issue of ‘want to’ but more of ‘how to’. So this is just one way of accomplishing it as we desire to grow in our generosity as followers of Jesus.

What Is Vision Builders Sunday on November 13th?

All over the world C3 Churches commit to ways they can impact their city and their world through Vision Builders. They do this by coming together as Vision Builders in heart and hand. Ultimately, Vision Builders is the way we commit each year to the vision and initiatives in front of us as a church. We do this by doing our best to give in two key ways: consistent giving (often called the tithe) and a gift over and above our tithe (often called an offering) as we step into sacrificial generosity.

Don't Be Shrek The Sheep

One of the most enduring Psalms, even sections of scripture, heck, poems of all time is Psalm 23. The chance that someone in any room you walk into could finish the sentence if you started with, “The Lord is my shepherd…” are close to 100% we’d guess.

But why? Why is it that a portion of six verses seems to endure in every generation? How does it carry so much weight and mean so much to so many? Here is one possible reason. Deep down, we all know we are sheep. In the deepest parts of our soul, we know that on our own we cannot solve every problem, provide for every need, or know which direction to take at all times.
